How it works

From ask to accepted. One object, five states.

A mandate is the same object from the first probe to the final invoice. Scroll, and watch it change state. Nothing here is a metaphor; this is the portal you would use.

01PROBE · FREE, READ-ONLY

Twenty minutes against your repositories.

Connect a read-only app at org level, or run the probe inside your CI so code never leaves. It returns a score, the blockers by name, and your first three mandates, priced. Nobody calls unless you ask.

02SCOPE · SIZED BY CAMBRIAN, SIGNED BY US

Vague asks become priced mandates.

Cambrian breaks a big ask into outcomes with criteria and dependencies, and asks the questions it cannot answer alone. A senior engineer signs the estimate before you see it. Scope we cannot measure is refused, not billed.

Cambrian's two questions: which fund administrator, and must consent be legally binding in the portal?

03APPROVE · IN THE PORTAL

Two signatures freeze the price.

You sign the criteria, we sign the price, the slot opens and the clock starts. Capacity is a fixed number of parallel slots on your account, which is why a promised date is a real one. A fifth mandate means a swap, and a swap has a stated cost.

Work starts when funds clear. Not before, for anyone.

04BUILD · AGENTS, THEN A HUMAN GATE

Agents work the whole week. Seniors own the answer.

Planning, implementation and test agents run in parallel against the signed criteria. Every line that reaches your repository carries a senior engineer's signature. You watch progress live in the portal, criterion by criterion, not in a weekly deck.

05ACCEPT · EVIDENCE FIRST, INVOICE SECOND

You decide it is done. Then you pay.

Every criterion arrives with proof. Dispute one and it pauses alone while the rest proceed. Acceptance raises the invoice at the frozen price and arms 90 days of warranty, triaged by agent, answered by a senior engineer.

The fine print · up front

The fine print. What legal and security always ask.

Answered here so your legal and security teams do not have to schedule a call to find out.

Against what the outcome is worth to you, not what our people cost us. Cambrian sizes the work, a senior engineer signs the estimate, and the number is frozen before you approve. There are no day rates to argue about and no change orders when the work turns out to be harder than we thought.

You do, on acceptance, outright. We keep no licence over your product and nothing is locked to us. What we reuse across clients is our own delivery machinery, never your code, your data, or your models.

The probe is read-only and revocable in one click. For delivery we work in branches on your terms, and if your security posture forbids external access, Cambrian runs inside your CI and only the evidence leaves. Three access levels exist precisely so this is never the blocker.

Ninety days on delivered criteria. A claim is triaged by agent within hours into one of three answers: our defect, which we fix at our cost; a support question, which we answer; or new scope, which we quote. You see the reasoning, and a senior engineer stands behind the call.

Slots are real capacity, so a swap is possible and it has a stated cost, shown in the portal before you confirm. Work already accepted is invoiced; work in flight is settled at the evidence line reached. Nothing is hidden until the invoice arrives.

Only if your agreement says so, and then at cost with the consumption visible in the portal every day. Most clients choose an all-in mandate price instead. Either way, you can bring your own model keys and pay your provider directly.
