Claude Code app maintenance is the ongoing work after the build ships: a named owner, swept dependencies and secrets, a timed restore, reviewed access, and one signed fix each month. Claude Code can edit and run code. It does not assign an owner or prove that the app still restores.
The tool can change code. It cannot own the app.
Anthropic describes Claude Code as an agentic coding tool that reads a codebase, edits files, runs commands, and works with development tools. Those capabilities can accelerate maintenance. They do not decide who answers when the app breaks, who still has access, or whether a backup restores.
A maintained app answers five questions every month.
